Meet Dr. Lakayil
Dr. Anne Lakayil graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and continued on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Lakayil has volunteered for events such as Mission of Mercy, Special Smiles at Special Olympics Wisconsin, Advanced Care Clinic for emergency patients at Marquette, Head Start Dental/Give Kids a Smile Day, City on a Hill, and for Smile Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo. She has volunteered internationally on a Dental mission trip in St Elizabeth, Jamaica as well. In addition to that, she has also completed clinical rotations throughout Wisconsin (e.g. at the Tri-County Community Dental Clinic in Appleton, Peter Christensen Dental Clinic in Lac Du Flambeau, and Stevens Point Ministry Dental Center in Stevens Point.
Dr. Lakayil went into dentistry to increase her patients’ self-confidence and give them a healthy smile. Her orthodontist did the same for her when she got braces as a child, and it was then she realized that a profession in dentistry can change lives. She loves working with her hands, and dentistry offers an outlet for her to use her hands to relieve pain and suffering, restore patient’s dentition so they can enjoy eating food again, and to have a person regain their confidence to laugh without covering their smile. Her patient philosophy is to treat each person as if they were a family member. She wants to work with you to reach your goals by educating her patients.
In her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, hiking, and exploring new places. When the weather isn’t so welcoming she enjoys curling up on the couch and reading books for hours. She also loves to cook, bake, and share meals with friends.
